An exciting opportunity exists within Corporate Affairs, for a proactive individual to lead a team in driving the strategy and execution of the Firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility, internal communications and marketing initiatives in Asia Pacific (non-Japan Asia). Based in Hong Kong, this is a VP level position reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Corporate Affairs for Asia Pacific. The successful candidate will manage a team of three based in Hong Kong.


CSR: Philanthropy and Sustainability

• Drive the firm’s regional CSR strategy and program execution including oversight of Philanthropy Committees, Employee Sustainability Forum, volunteer programs, charity partner selection, fundraising, donation drives, grantmaking and disaster relief

• Key annual projects include:

- Global Volunteer Month: driving campaign strategy to actively engage employees, sourcing and coordinating volunteer events

- Global Giving: running year-end employee donation campaign, including major fundraising events in Hong Kong

- Global Sustainability Month: engaging multiple stakeholders, organizing engagement events, raising employee awareness to drive change

Internal Communications

• Create a cohesive content and campaign strategy for employee engagement

• Provide strategic guidance and solutions to firm management and other internal clients on internal communications strategies

• Work with global Internal Communications on firmwide initiatives

• Develop and oversee online stories, office communications, posters and digital signage, etc

• Coordination of management townhalls and leadership sessions

Marketing & Branding

• Drive and oversee the firm’s marketing and sponsorship strategy in the region

• Provide strategic guidance, solutions and support to internal clients on marketing strategies, development and implementation

• Review and coordinate advertising and sponsorship requests/opportunities

• Manage and activate art and culture sponsorship programs and foster collaborative partnerships with relevant organizations

• Manage and oversee media planning and buying, advertising development and placements

• Drive content for social media platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and the firm’s public website and digital signage


The ideal candidate will have the following professional experience and personal qualities:

• BA/BS and 14+ years of experience in CSR, marketing and/or corporate communications

• Experience in and good knowledge of the banking/financial services industry, with global/regional exposure

• In-house experience in a corporate environment preferred. Asia experience a strong advantage

• Excellent and/or native English oral and written communication skills

• Fluency in Cantonese and written Chinese a plus

• Excellent interpersonal, management and business partnering skills

• Proactive, analytical, and customer service oriented with an ability to work across corporate, non-profit and public audiences

• Professional and able to work with integrity, respect, and confidentiality at all times

• Strong project planning and organizational skills; attention to detail a must

• Ability to lead a small team, collaborate, influence and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge or interest in impact measurement, program evaluation and reporting

• Self-starter, resourceful, and a team player with ability to multi-task and deliver
