Credit Officer - 12 Month Contract

Primary Objectives

  • To maintain high credit quality of Financial Institutions portfolio of the Asia Pacific region


Major Accountabilities / Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage the assigned financial institutions (banks, securities, NBFI's) portfolio and perform the credit risk management tasks as required by the team head and CCG management
  • Perform credit analysis for new clients and existing assigned clients in annual review in accordance with the bank's prevailing policies and guidelines and monitor closely their evolution of the assigned portfolio to be able to react quickly if needed
  • Propose credit limit recommendation and risk mitigations within commercially required deadlines
  • Recommend appropriate credit ratings
  • Manage a portfolio of FI counterparties keeping credit files up to date, covering Asian countries
  • Perform credit administration tasks including credit file maintenance and updating
  • Documentation negotiation including ISDA, CSA / VMCSA, GMSLA, GMRA, etc
  • Keep a constructive and regular flow of communication with Front Officers to help them build deals in a sustainable way from the risk point of view, and to be informed timely of any relevant event on the Bank's commercial side
  • Ability to speak to internal and external interlocutors at senior levels, representing the interests of the Bank's Risk function
  • Comply with the Group's Code of Conduct and the local regulations

Key Skill Areas & Knowledge Required:

  • Ability to quickly identify, analyse and assess credit risks of counterparties and perform counterparty risk analysis on an ongoing basis
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills to deal with multiple and sometimes conflicting demands and time constraints. Excellent adaptability and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment
  • Willingness to support and practice continuous learning in the work place
