We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Data Architect.

Principal responsibilities
  • Provide innovative and practical designs that accounts for the data domain of a function that is in line with the business objectives
  • Deliver architecture and implementations that supports the most efficient and secure solutions meeting business needs and controlling operational risk
  • Experience of optimizing complex systems and working with business to solve problems using technology
  • Provide leadership related to the domain of data, manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, consistently deliver quality services by monitoring progress, and demonstrate in depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge
  • Define a product's data domain and data models, working with other architects from various department or systems or products to achieve a unified view of the data domains and flows
  • Analyze data stores implementation methods and patterns to make sure they are in line with company policies and any external regulations that may apply
  • Develop data stores design and architecture documentation for the development, management and executive teams
  • Help maintain the integrity and security of the company data stores
  • Contribute to data quality management, data governance, master data management, reference data management and meta data management
  • Lead the complex real time and batch data integration patterns, data ingress and egress patterns, data warehouse and data mart design principles and patterns
  • Stay abreast of technology trends and advise the team about potential benefits, impacts

  • Ability to breakdown and explain complex technical solutions to audiences with varying degrees of knowledge and technical capabilities
  • Ability to analyze business requirement user stories and model the relative data domain
  • Must have experience assisting clients with Strategic Big Data initiatives, preferably focused on financial service, insurance or telecommunication
  • Canonical Data modelling, 3NF design experience
  • Experience with Big Data technologies, assisting clients in building software solutions that are distributed, highly scalable and across multiple data centers
  • Hands on experience in architecting Big Data applications using Hadoop technologies such as Spark, MapReduce, YARN, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Oozie, HBase, Elasticsearch, Cassandra.
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence teams, Data Integration developers, Data Scientists, Analysts and DBA's to deliver well architected and scalable Big Data and Analytics eco system
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Cassandra
  • Strong Experience with event stream processing technologies such as Spark streaming, Storm, Akka, Kafka
  • Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Scala, Python
  • Extensive experience with at least one major Hadoop platform such as Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR
  • Proven track record of architecting Distributed Solutions dealing with real high volume of data like petabytes
  • Good understanding of Big data design patterns
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies such as H20, TensorFlow, IBM Watson
  • Experience using Neo4J or understanding of graph databases
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience with SQL and scripting languages such as Python, R
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing infrastructure and platforms
