Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the General Manager to support the strategic direction, operational management, and overall development of the Private Banking function.
- Drive sustainable business growth, enhance profitability, and improve operational effectiveness in line with the Bank's long-term objectives.
- Provide senior oversight across Private Banking, Investment, Securities, Insurance, and Wealth Management businesses, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and HKMA standards.
- Lead governance and risk oversight for private banking activities, including suitability, AML/CFT controls, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management.
- Act as a key liaison with regulators, auditors, and internal control teams on all private banking-related matters.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients and business partners to support business expansion and key initiatives.
- Support or lead additional strategic projects and responsibilities as delegated by senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience within the banking industry, with strong exposure to Private Banking and Wealth Management; at least 8 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Certified Insurance Responsible Officer (RO); Securities Executive Officer (EO) qualification would be advantageous.
- CPWP qualification preferred.
- Strong product knowledge across private banking, investment advisory, securities, insurance, and wealth management solutions.
- Proven experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, governance, and suitability frameworks within a private banking environment.
- In-depth understanding of Hong Kong regulatory requirements, including SFC, insurance regulations, and AML/CFT standards.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and business development capabilities, with the ability to lead and develop teams effectively.
- Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English (both written and spoken).
