Our client is a fast growing Financial Services Company (MNC, Buy side) with strong market share in Asia Pacific. To cope with its expansion across the region, they are looking for a seasoned Desktop Support Engineer candidate to help bring the organization to next level.

Our client is a fast growing Financial Services Company (MNC, Buy side) with strong market share in Asia Pacific. To cope with its expansion across the region, they are looking for a seasoned Desktop Support Engineer candidate to help bring the organization to next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the desktop and applicable aspects of the local Infrastructure
  • environment;
  • Provides level 1 and/or level 2 support to end users
  • Provide Market Data application support such as Bloomberg and Factset;
  • Performs support function for systems that are highly reliant on network technologies,
  • including Citrix, VPN, RSA, VMware, and IP Telephony;
  • Perform daily system health checks, investigate, resolve or escalate issues identified;
  • Provide remote support for users in offices in the Asia region;
  • Install and deploy desktop and laptop computers and IOS based mobile devices;
  • Monitor and deploy computer software and patches through SCCM;
  • Analyzes performance and connectivity of computer peripherals;
  • Implements, maintains and administers enterprise antivirus services for desktops;
  • Provides support for server, network based applications and hardware that depend on Active
  • Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, etc.;
  • Creates and maintains relevant process and/or system documentation; and
  • Consult and liaise with third party external vendors with issue resolution and enquiries.

Requirnments:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years working experience in IT in the finance industry;
  • Working experience in 2nd level Service Support with exposure to enterprise Infrastructure environments;
  • Proven project management skills;
  • Thorough working knowledge on installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Wintel components, Windows 10 workstations and related peripheral components;
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, Internet Technology, Storage and Backup,
  • Infrastructure Security and best practices with associated efforts on consistent technology updates;
  • Working knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016 Server, SCCM, Active Directory,
  • Microsoft Exchange, Windows 7/10, MS Office, Office 365, IOS;
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written;
  • Good at building & maintaining relationships, problem solving and decision making;
