The new hire will cover HK-, Guangdong-, Guangxi and Hainan-based issuers and bankers and grow Corporate / IPF revenue for Fitch through promoting the value of Fitch Ratings to CFOs and other constituents, namely; treasury staff of issuers as well as market participants. The incumbent is expected to develop and execute business origination and outreach strategies, as agreed with the reports and provide support at a tactical level.

Key Objectives

  • Interact with issuers and bankers with the goal of elevating Fitch's profile and visibility and generating new business
  • Maintain relationships with existing portfolio of issuers via regular interaction
  • Market to bankers and CFOs or treasury staff to advocate and position Fitch's involvement in deal flow in all types of securities
  • Assist senior business originators to identify new business opportunities and to build a strong deal pipeline
  • Negotiate commercial terms, including fees for new and existing contracts, and prepare tender documents independently
  • Develop close working relationship with analysts in analytical groups (Corporates and IPF)
  • Keep apprised of target company deal flow and issuer relationships
  • Enhance the visibility for Fitch Ratings with various market participants via various outreach activities (conferences, seminars, one-on-one meetings, electronic delivery, analyst meetings, etc.)
  • Generate monthly activity status report - plans, successes, challenges and strateg

Technical Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 5-7 years relevant marketing or relationship management experience in debt capital markets or banking/financial services sector
  • Persuasively present, through written and personal interface with issuers and bankers, Fitch's rating products and services
  • Highly motivated and results oriented; able to generate business origination and outreach ideas and strategy as well as strong in day-to-day execution
  • A proven ability to persuade and negotiate effectively, preferably with an experience to communicate with the senior management before
  • Credit knowledge and skills including the ability to relate ratings to pricing
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills, verbal and written in both Mandarin Chinese and English
  • High work standards - attention to detail
  • Team oriented, with ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally
  • Effective PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience of Bloomberg useful


  • University degree, preferably in a business-related discipline
  • Other professional or business qualification (e.g., Masters degree, MBA) preferred
