Job Description

  • To promote, lead and manage the culture and practice of compliance with the letter and spirit of legal and regulatory requirements and ethical standards in the conduct of business
  • To assist the Head of Regulatory Compliance, Hong Kong in providing leadership and management support to ensure that the Bank and its subsidiaries operate in accordance with:-
    • all regulatory and legal requirements
    • all Group standards of conduct, so as to protect and enhance the reputation of the Bank and its subsidiaries in HK and avoid significant financial losses


Key Roles and Responsibilities

Assisting the Head, Regulatory Compliance, Hong Kong in: -
  • identifying, assessing and monitoring compliance risk
  • advising senior management on the laws, rules and standards (and any changes of such) with which the Bank is required to comply
  • establishing the Bank's compliance procedures and guidelines, and ensuring that they remain effective
  • reporting regularly to, and advising senior management on, compliance matters
  • establishing a compliance programme
  • developing team members to maximise their strength and potentials
  • leading and co-ordinating compliance training programs in Hong Kong


Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree holder
  • Substantial in-house experience in handling regulatory compliance advisory and regulatory liaison work, including demonstrated success in a similar role
  • Strong commercial sense
  • Ability to collaborate and work with all stakeholders
  • Understanding risk management
  • Exemplary integrity, independence and resilience
