We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Distribution Development Manager, Broker Lines .

Principal responsibilities

  • Primarily accountable to the Head of Commercial Banking and Broker Lines and responsible for the overall distribution and sales performance of the Broker Lines Annual Operation Plan, which provides Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Insurance solutions to clients of Global Private Bank and other external private banks via insurance brokers
  • Responsible for influencing and managing new business to maximise top and bottom line benefits to achieve targets
  • Assist to execute and implement distribution strategies to achieve high growth and profitability from High Net Worth insurance product through Broker Lines
  • Provide daily support to assigned distribution channels including being the first point of contact for brokers, with a view to drive broker channel management in the aspects of relationship management, technical product support, training support, pipeline and case management.
  • Drive Global Private Bank and Broker business growth aspirations and liaise with internal and external partners to achieve pre-determined goals
  • Work closely with High Net Worth Centre of Excellence to optimise sales processes and to maximize customer, relationship management, and broker experience
  • Support product development with internal product teams by identifying new product opportunities based on competitive intelligence, market trends, customer demand and analysis.
  • Active monitoring and management of new business to maximize the top and bottom line benefits and to ensure Annual Operation Plan targets are achieved.
  • Create and manage distribution Management Information reports to monitor business flow
    Portfolio management including tracking of sales, market trends and conducting retention analysis to manage business mix, market trends for Broker Lines
  • Responsible for implementing any new regulatory requirements that impact the broker distribution channel to ensure regulatory compliance

  • Degree required with preference for advanced degree completion
  • Recognized insurance professional preferably holding relevant insurance professional qualification, must have active license to sell insurance
  • Solid Experiences in Insurance or Banking focused on product, business development, marketing or sales
  • Specialist product knowledge in Life products with demonstrated experience of selling
  • Results orientated with emphasis on the customer and quality
  • Able to apply excellent commercial judgment and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Able to create a positive working relationship with senior executives internally and externally
  • Significant level of risk, sales quality and compliance awareness
  • Possess the technical and operational expertise and experience to deliver the full and complete customer and business partner quality experience individually and collectively
