Position Description
Background: This is an opportunity for a strong hands-on team lead to manage a Hong Kong based team while also collaborating with regional counterparts to drive the overall strategy for Asset Management Services and Equity Derivatives Support in APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 7-9 staff responsible for delivering support to the Stock Lending, Prime Brokerage and Equity Derivatives business in Hong Kong and other parts of the region.
  • Actively contribute to the overall management and strategy of the Asset Management Services and Equity Linked Trading Regional Team.
  • Work with other support leads to integrate teams across different business areas to improve the efficiency of the Trading and Operations Support Organization (TOPS).
  • Manage and coordinate all deployments to the production environment. Ensure standards are adhered to prior to deployment and risks are managed using a structured approach.
  • Perform Problem Management and Incident Reporting activities including Root Cause analysis and documenting corrective actions and remediation steps.
  • Strong focus on Operational Excellence and implementing essential improvements.
  • Produce Metrics and regular reporting on the health/performance of the environment.
  • Build and cement relationships with Equity business users.
  • Work closely with Developers to ensure standards are met that allows a high level of support, recoverability and scale-ability.
  • Manage BCP drill exercises and work with BCP coordinators and assist with audits when called upon.
  • The position will be part of the Pac Rim regional TOPS management team and as such the candidate will be working frequently with regional and global TOPS team members.

Key Requirements
  • Proven track record in managing and developing a frontline support team in the financial services industry
  • 10+ years working experience, preferably in Stock Lending Support and Equity Derivative areas, at least 2 years' experience as team lead
  • Strong working knowledge of Stock Lending, Equity Derivatives and Swap Trading OMS
  • Expertise in supporting stock loan transaction lifecycle
  • Expertise in supporting trading, pricing, valuation, and real time risk management and parameter management queries.
  • Strong organizational skills (with an ability to multitask)
  • Relationship management - Is adept at managing and communicating with senior business management, end users and technology stakeholders
  • Strong problem ownership and accountability.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure systems and platforms (Linux, Windows, SAN/NAS, Market Data, Networks, Middleware etc.)
  • Strong / Proven people management skills
  • Knowledge of market practices for different countries across Asia.
