Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Executive, Investment Operations.

Principal responsibilities

  • Perform control over operations functions and other processing tasks being handled by the Team
  • To assist Team Manager in monitoring or performing the daily operation of the team in accordance with the procedures manuals and Group Operation Standards
  • Perform checking over daily treasury operations or other tasks assigned by the defined deadlines
  • Ensure timely and adequate support to all internal customers
  • Provide guidance and on the job training to new joiners
  • Achieve compliance with Group standard, manual and guideline
  • Minimize potential errors by reviewing and maintaining adequate and effective control procedures


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
  • Knowledge in asset management middle office especially for treasury and derivative operations
  • Knowledge of market regulations
  • Prior experience in asset management middle/back office operations is an advantage
  • Well organized and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Self motivated and ability to work under pressure
  • Proactive working attitude and Stakeholders Management skills
  • People management skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English with good communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
