The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm’s books and records, and by contributing to Firmwide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley’s various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley’s various businesses and its senior management team.

The Asia Pacific Financial Control Group is seeking a highly self-motivated professional to join as a Business Partner, with primary job responsibilities as follows:

- Provide financial insights to management, COOs and Business Managers

- Work with partners across regions in Finance, Technology & Operations, Business units on planning, projects and problem resolutions

- Support change projects (Agile, cost allocation methodology revamp, etc)

- Provide accounting and tax guidance

- Support the Budget/Forecast process and oversee monthly financial close process



Qualifications:



- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business

- Management report experience and strong accounting knowledge. Fundamental knowledge of tax will be beneficial

- Relevant Operations and IT Finance exposure or cost management experience within a fast-paced banking environment would be advantageous (examples, project cost tracking, capital expenses, cost allocation principles/methodologies, Agile)

- Require 7-10 years of accounting/finance experience in banking and/or non-banking environment with proven IT Finance or cost management experience

- Team player

- Ability to communicate to and build up relationships with clients and global counterparts

- Strong presentation skills

- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

- Ability to work under pressure, resilient and consistent high performer

- Proactive thinker, ability to challenge and provide solutions
