YOUR IMPACT
Are you passionate about safeguarding the accuracy of financial information? We're looking for a professional to join our Corporate Accounting team in Hong Kong who is interested in the financial and regulatory reporting functions at Goldman Sachs.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Manage the period end close process for the firm's subsidiaries
  • Prepare financial reporting packages under US/Local GAAP
  • Liaise with external auditors and other divisions to complete the statutory audit process
  • Prepare regulatory and statistical returns to regulators and government agencies
  • Work with other divisions or areas within Finance, both in Hong Kong and globally, in driving cross-divisional projects for new business initiatives
  • Apply your knowledge in financial products and the securities and banking businesses in resolving reporting related issues
  • Ensure that control standards are maintained and documented


RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS BASIC SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WHICH WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Qualified accountant. Previous work experience in the Big 4 is an advantage
  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in a reporting role with a financial institution
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Good knowledge of the Basel standards, the SFC or the HKMA regulations is preferred
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Good command of written Chinese
  • Committed, self-motivated and proactive, with a desire to succeed
  • Critical problem-solving skills and ability to think out of the box
  • Strong control awareness
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially in Excel. VBA or programming knowledge is an advantage
