We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Financial Control Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • Reinforce financial oversight on controls and reconciliation processes for the region.
  • Support the HSBC Asia Pacific Accounting Reconciliations Control Certificate process and provide guidance to sites to ensure consistent process across the region.
  • Provision of financial control guidance and support to sites, ensuring that the operational risk requirements, as detailed in the Group Standards Manual, Finance Functional Instructional Manual and other relevant manuals are implemented, monitored and maintained.
  • Identify and assess operational risks and controls within acceptable levels to the scale and nature of the area's operations or regulations and within Group and regional standards.
  • Act as a conduit for responding to control issues raised by sites.
  • Support the senior manager of the HSBC Asia Pacific Finance Control Office in developing and implementing financial control standards for the region.

  • Qualified accountants with work experience in Audit or Finance.
  • Possess a good understanding of Finance control activities and Operational Risk Management Framework.
  • Possess thorough understanding of HSBC's operations and systems and a wide experience of the Finance Function will be an advantage.
  • Strong business writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and be able to deal confidently with staff at senior levels.
  • Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Sound commitment to continuous improvement, self motivated, confident, and capable of working effectively autonomously as well as part of a team.
