About the Role

We are seeking a high caliber Management Reporting candidate report to our Regional Finance Manager and being the key finance contact and business partner to Wells Fargo Securities line of business. The Securities division includes Fixed Income Trading, Debt & Capital markets, Asset management, Investment banking and Foreign Exchange Trading businesses. The responsibilities are related to support for management and legal entity reporting. The candidate will be required to provide detailed financial reporting analysis, forecasting, planning, presentations and customer insights to help drive strategic business decision within the region. Key stakeholders includes the US and regional leadership teams.

The position is to be based in Hong Kong to meet the increasing demands arising from Wells Fargo’s international presence as well as an evolving financial and regulatory landscape in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize, analysis, design, plan, track and execution of line of business management reporting deliverables
  • Key support partner for Financial Planning & Analysis such as annual plans, outlook, forecast, revenue & expense analysis, and ad-hoc analysis with business partners
  • Daily profit and loss production on the securities line of businesses
  • Legal entity monthly financial statement processes & reporting
  • Daily capital and liquidity monitoring
  • Present to US and regional stakeholders in various leadership and business forums
  • Understand and communicate to Securities division the cost allocations framework, including the controls that apply to how cost pools are identified established and charged out
  • Provide creative and unique solutions to complex business requirements
  • Collaborate on APAC revenue and expense projects
  • Direct and indirect operating expense planning and analysis
  • Record and track Customer metrics including profitability and other key metrics
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior business and support leaders
  • Lead and support ad-hoc Finance projects which includes system implementation, legal entity restructuring and simplification projects
  • Develop processes and infrastructure controls to ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant Wells Fargo's policies and procedures

Market Skills and Certifications

Requirements

  • University Degree and professionally qualified accountant
  • Experience of more than 5 years in Banking and Securities Markets industry including in depth knowledge of Securities & Futures Commission rules and regulations in Hong Kong
  • Progressive track record of management reporting experience, including staff management, with familiarity of running and or working in a geographically diverse team
  • Strong Financial analysis and experience in providing timely and relevant recommendations to drive business decisions and outcomes
  • Demonstrable change management skills, particularly those involving process re-engineering and systems change
  • Knowledge of Oracle booking and reporting tools
  • Experience with Hyperion management reporting system
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to give presentations and briefings to senior management
  • Creative and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to analyze business transactions and identify key Finance risks/mitigating controls.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high energy levels
  • Must be able to work independently with positive collaboration within a fast paced, team environment
  • Proven capabilities with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese
