Our award winning, Tier 1 corporate and investment banking client is seeking a Front Office Trade Support to join the Hong Kong team immediately for a 12 month contract.

Our award winning, Tier 1 corporate and investment banking client is seeking a Front Office Trade Support to join the Hong Kong team immediately for a 12 month contract.

You will join a small team and report to the Senior Manager assisting with non-client facing trade support, covering trade support, P&L, Reporting Control and Cross Services, Settlement, Prime Brokerage and Execution and Brokerage. Your interactions will include those sitting in global locations.

Working in a small team, the successful individual will be someone who is comfortable working autonomously but can also ask the right questions to develop enhancements for technical aspects of daily workflows.

 

What you will do

  • To perform day-to-day core trade support functions to Trading including trade validation, late trade booking, trade amendment and cancellation
  • To handle any post-trade/ life-cycle events such as corporate action adjustment, secondary event booking, barrier and fixing monitoring and notification
  • To be the middleman to co-ordinate all information from Front-to-Back to ensure smooth processing and settlement is properly performed
  • To perform as an independent control team to strengthen all the control within Global Market Operations and to follow the escalation rule
  • To assist and work closely with Front Office and Client Services on ad-hoc requests and handle queries in a timely manner


 

Essential skills

  • 2 years’ experience in front office trade support or relevant experience
  • Degree in Economics, Mathematics or Finance.
  • Strong Equity derivatives product knowledge including front to back workflows and the product event management
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, h-lookups), VBA, macros
  • Full fluency in English and Chinese
  • Autonomous, Dynamic, Rigorous
