Global Events Marketing Project Coordinator, Officer
The Event Marketing Project Coordinator develops and executes event projects, is responsible for seamless event execution, and a key point for event queries, policies and external resource planning.

  • Develop and manage best-in-class events for Citi in Hong Kong working across our businesses. Deliver professional events to the acclaim of clients and internal management. These include conferences, seminars, trade shows, dinners and receptions, town halls, sponsorship activation, senior visits, client dining, etc.
  • Manage and arrange all logistics, vendors, venues and negotiated budgets for assigned projects.
  • Liaise directly with businesses to support them in both the strategic and tactical recommendations around their event programs.
  • Communicate and adhere to Citi policies as well as Global Event Marketing policies and best practices.
  • Manage financial reporting and required administrative documentation for assigned events/projects.
  • Direct and close liaison with Event Project Manager, supporting them on a range of events across the APAC region. Support the team in key regional and global initiatives.

  • Will have worked in a busy office with dedicated experience of at least 2-4 years, arranging major and high profile meetings / conferences for a high standard (eg CEO level)
  • Good event experience with extensive knowledge of venues, vendors and event partners, local and regional.
  • Financial services background an advantage but not required.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously within a pressurized environment, and within a prescribed budget.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative "team player" orientation, willing to work with colleagues towards a common goal, and capability to work virtually and with a global team in multiple time zones.
  • Ability to self motivate, and show willingness to undertake extra responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and execute tasks with limited supervision.
  • Flexibility in work hours according to variety of projects undertaken. Weekend and evening work (including holidays) and travel sometimes required as part of an event.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), customer service, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • High level of computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of event trends that affect financial services industry and conference centers; read financial and marketing publications, keep current on events and restaurant reviews to ensure ideas are innovative.

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
