Quorum is the strategic data hub for the Global Market Equities Trading Business at Deutsche Bank. It serves as the single point for aggregation, quality assurance and distribution of vital business data supporting all of this multi-billion Euro trading business globally.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a good communicator who can work closely with traders, quants and other technology partners to solve business problems. The ideal candidate will be a team player and an analytical thinker motivated by solving technical problems and delivering solutions to the business. The Quorum Platform Team environment is a friendly and supportive one where candidates will be given training to ensure that they are able to develop the business and technical knowledge required to excel in the role. However the ideal candidate will have some background in a finance technology role and ideally some knowledge of equity trading as well as some technical knowledge of Java and SQL.

  • Candidate will be responsible for analysing requests coming from the business for new functionality, issue resolution and information on the application.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with key stakeholders in Business, Technology and Operations organizations to ensure program alignment with client needs
  • Responsible for governance of Service Delivery including adherence to SLA and issues - incidents management
  • Establish and operate within governance (decision making) structure for the program-project and manage-escalate issues and risks
    • As member of Equities Reference Data Team and a reference data SME, provide data support to resolve data completeness, coverage, accuracy and timeliness issues for equities trading franchise across Cash, Derivatives and Prime Finance.
    • Foster relationship with Enterprise Data Management teams and continue to enhance the engagement model between the Enterprise and Equity data team.
    • Build proactive Data Quality checks to ensure data is accurate and timely and maintain metrics to track performance against common benchmarks
    • Work with the business, BA's and other tech groups to understand issues and requirements.
    • Design and develop solutions.
      • 2+ years' experience in technology
      • Experience with full lifecycle development, gathering requirements and translating those into solutions which are deployed to production.
      • Some experience in finance is advantageous
      • Knowledge of Equities products and Order & Execution trade flows and Equities Trading platforms is plus.
      • Good communication
      • Ability to work across multiple business groups and domains, and to work in virtual global team environments and matrix organizations; ability to work in fast paced demanding front-office environment
      • Good analytical and problem solving skills; good written and verbal communication skills
      • Good knowledge of MS Office suite of products - Excel, Project, Project, Visio, Access, etc.
      • Good knowledge of SQL and logical data modelling
      • 2+ years experience of Java programming
      • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business, Economics or Computer Science (or equivalent Business Analysis certification and-or relevant work experience
