  • The Hong Kong Financial Planning and Analysis (FPandA) team is responsible for communications of business results, performance review, forward looking processes, and decision support activities, serving multiple business stakeholders across the entire franchise, both Global Consumer Banking (GCB) and Institutional Clients Group (ICG)
  • The role is expected to closely engage with business managers in the business outlook process, getting a realistic outlook for latest business performance, and helping respective business managers to drive business results. The role is also expected to be heavily involved in multiple global/regional projects on the finance infrastructure, CCAR and other local regulatory stress-testing exercises, as well as other business growth initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead expense planning and analysis function across the franchise (GCB and ICG)
  • Consolidation across product teams for all forward looking activities (weekly flash, corporate outlooks, plan, MYF, CCAR, etc.)
  • Support product teams in franchise level analysis (e.g. RoTCE)
  • Lead all franchise level requirements for Country Corporate Officer
  • Work closely with business to provide timely financial information to senior management to facilitate effective and informed decision making
  • Work in conjunction with controller and business teams on the month-end closing process to ensure all revenues, expenses, accruals and reserves being properly reflected in the financial statements
  • Help prepare business and strategy presentations for senior management reviews and meetings
  • Perform other financial analysis as needed to support the business
  • Get involved in multiple country/regional/global projects


  • Undergraduate degree, preferable in a discipline related to Finance/Economics
  • Minimum 5-7 years working experience in Finance or related field
  • Basic accounting knowledge required, CPA or other accounting qualification would be advantageous
  • Strong communication, project management, Excel modeling and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage own time amidst competing priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to navigate vast amounts of complex data easily, with attention to detail
