We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Secured Services CCS .

Principal responsibilities

  • Manage the operational performance and minimize risks for Hong Kong Secured Lending business including Underwriting and Collection.
  • Support Macau Secured Lending business Underwriting and Collection for all products.
  • Lead a large onshore and offshore team to support the origination and collection of arrears in line with the credit loss plan and the target customer experience. Ensure the adherence to HSBC Group Standards, Regulatory and Group Audit requirements.
  • Oversee implementation and execution of Global Customer Engagement Model to increase focus on Customer circumstances and identify solution to achieve a positive Customer outcome
  • Ensure the cost effective use of legal and receivership action or use of repossession agent to repossess hired goods to maximize the recovery of bad debts, when internal collection effort has failed


Qualifications
Requirements
  • University degree in an appropriate discipline
  • Proven record of effective management in a leadership role, including planning and decision making, identifying priorities and bringing a wide range of projects to successful completion.
  • Require broad experience within the banking and financial sector with specific legal experience and acknowledge in risk management, debt recoveries and collections system.
  • Strong business understanding of Group policies and internal control standards
  • Experience of managing resources in senior roles to achieve objectives using appropriate communication delegation and planning skills.
  • Ability to use strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems whilst maintaining budgets, time scales and quality of output.
  • Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines and be change oriented
  • Excellent written communication skills, ability to clearly document the current state and the recommendations
  • Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across the Group.
  • Demonstrated experience in use of Management Information to drive process changes and inform decisions.
