Job Description
- Act as the primary interface between business units and IT teams, translating business needs into technology initiatives
- Engage extensively with non-technical stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and opportunities
- Provide practical technology advisory aligned with business priorities rather than purely theoretical architecture design
- Drive and support Proof of Concepts (POCs), particularly in emerging areas such as AI and digital transformation
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure solutions are feasible and aligned with organisational capabilities
- Monitor market trends and recommend relevant technology adoption to support business growth
- Support overall solution direction and governance without being deeply hands-on in technical design
- 8-12 years of experience in technology roles, with recent exposure to business-facing responsibilities
- Proven experience engaging with non-technical stakeholders (minimum 3-4 years)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - able to influence and guide business decisions
- Balanced background across IT and business engagement (not purely technical)
- Experience working in in-house environments within financial services or insurance is highly preferred
- Familiarity with emerging technology trends such as AI and digital innovation
- Experience working with vendors and managing delivery from a business perspective
- A technology professional who has evolved into a business-oriented role
- Comfortable leading conversations with business stakeholders rather than focusing purely on technical implementation
- Demonstrates ownership, leadership, and the ability to drive discussions (not just follow direction)
- Prior experience transitioning from technical roles into advisory, coordination, or strategy-focused positions
- Strong exposure to business-facing technology strategy in a leading financial services environment
