A leading boutique private equity firm with over $2 billion AUM is looking to recruit a Junior IR after its recent successful fundraise. This is an Associate level position, with exposure to not only managing clients' relationships but also working conducting portfolio reviews. The position is based in Hong Kong and reports directly to the firm's COO.

Portfolio Management

  • Assist with the quarterly portfolio review and investor reporting processes for all funds which includes:
    • Ensuring quarterly valuations are conducted in-line with industry standards and reflect the business case discussed at quarterly portfolio reviews
    • Developing a deep understanding of the valuation of the portfolio
    • Working closely with investment teams
    • Coordination of internal quarterly portfolio review meetings
    • Monitoring completeness and consistency of quarterly reporting by portfolio investments
    • Preparing the quarterly LP valuation reports in conjunction with internal counterparts (investment team, finance team), partner GPs of fund investments and external fund administrator
  • Maintain online platforms used for portfolio management (i.e.: APE-X and iLevel), ensuring that they are accurately updated at all times
  • General coordination with finance team and auditors of each fund around quarterly reporting cycles, interim reviews and annual audits

Investor Relations

  • Maintain marketing materials (firm presentation, track records, etc.)
  • Assist with the planning of the Annual General Meeting including preparation of the agenda, content, presentation slides, speaker selection, venue selection, etc.
  • Assist with LP and internal data requests
  • Perform analyses and prepare reports using internal or external market data, for internal and external purposes
  • Prepare analysis and other fundraising materials, assist in coordination of fundraising efforts during fundraising years
  • Coordinate with TPG’s global fundraising team
  • Provide support on other Investor Relations initiatives at the firm such as conference planning, marketing initiatives, industry surveys and award submissions across its various offices


  • 2-4 years of experience in company valuation, private equity, capital markets or transaction advisory functions
  • Knowledge of portfolio and fund valuation process
  • General understanding of private equity transactions
  • Accounting background or otherwise well versed in company financial statements
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with a variety of computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database software
  • Ability to work with a high level of productivity and accuracy/attention to detail
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively with different counterparts
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese; business level of spoken Mandarin preferred
