An international asset management firm is looking for an outstanding candidate to join as Lead Vendor Manager - AVP/ VP. The position is based in Hong Kong.

Our client is an international asset management firm with an extensive international presence. To cope with their business expansion, they are seeking an outstanding candidate to join them.
Responsible for management of service provider relationships, ensuring provider compliance with contractual, financial and performance obligations and requirements Leraging firm knowledge, documenting and implementing effective vendor oversight processes, operationalizing effective vendor governance structures, maintaining a holistic view of the providers and effective communication for decision-making.
Responsible for the global relationship with third party providers of critical functions such as custody, fund accounting, middle office, transfer agency services. Maintain a holistic understanding of the relationship across all services provided. Serve as the primary knowledgebase on vendor’s product/service portfolio for the firm. Establish and coordinate overall provider governance and interaction program. Ensure strategic alignment. Manage the strategic service provider oversight program to ensure the effective delivery of services and management of operational, regulatory, compliance, and reputational risk. Lead the negotiation and implementation of detailed SLA and periodic reviews of the SLAs and updates. Lead regular on-site due diligence, including observation, validation and re-performance of contracted functions following a risked-based approach. Perform periodic audits of contracted services. Monitor service delivery trends and evaluate service provider performance issues. Design and lead existing and potential service provider capability assessments through research and analysis to inform leadership decision-making; including product/service offerings, evaluation of operating capabilities and technology investment analysis and strategic roadmaps. To qualify for the position, you should be a Degree holder in with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant vendor management experience in financial industry. Experience in risk management, operational/internal controls or third party risk preferred. Demonstrated ability to interface with senior management and critical service providers to facilitate strategic alignment discussions and influence roadmaps. Knowledge of vendor relationship management principles. Ability to define and manage effective and efficient vendor governance meetings, at all levels. Familiarity with traditional vendor risk domains and methods to mitigate risks. Familiarity with vendor contracts; specifically critical terms and conditions. Sound communications skills in English.
