Position Description
Background: This role is for a junior team member for the Credit Support team, based in Hong Kong, and supporting the Credit Trading business in the Asia Pacific region (Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore). The role is the first line support of technical issues encountered by the trading desk, and requires constant communication/contact with the trading desk, and other support partners. The role requires a mix of technical and business knowledge. A good understanding of the applications being used, and the business terminology and reason for use of those applications. The Credit Trading desk are primarily involved with Credit Default Swaps (CDS), and Corporate Bond trading Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support on trading applications
  • Troubleshoot issues on all associated applications and run bridges during incidents insuring all required individuals are on the call and are actively seeking to resolve the issue(s)
  • Act as main contact with Development team to resolve recurring issues and build enhancements to improve the client experience, actively manage both bug and enhancement lists.
  • Document and maintain procedures used to resolve issues
  • Reporting regular updates to the business and management as required
  • Train internal users on applications

Key Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time amongst conflicting priorities
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to code small applications/tools
  • General knowledge of the debt market and credit products in use (desirable)
  • 1 to 2 years work experience in the financial industry (desirable)
