We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager, Data And Information Management .

Principal responsibilities

  • ​Ensure implementation of, and compliance with, the Data Quality Policy
  • Production of data quality score cards for various relevant subject areas or domains
  • Build and maintain relationships across the organisation to understand current and future information and data needs, both from an internal and external regulatory perspective, which will feed into the Data Quality Policy and execution
  • Provide adequate information and discussions at the Global Insurance Data Quality Forum
  • Liaise and perform oversight of strategic partners and local heads of data quality to ensure alignment
  • Collaborate with HOST to ensure successful delivery of initiatives as required
  • Collaborate with RBWM D and IM team to ensure effective partnership across technology and processes
  • Liaise with Internal Audit and Compliance as required on all appropriate data issues
  • Develop appropriate Data Quality checks and improvements to evidence sustainable business benefits
  • Provide relevant, meaningful metrics for various stakeholder groups
  • Support broader projects and programmes in implementation of data quality deliverables


Qualifications
Requirements
  • A good understanding of data quality and data governance within a banking or insurance environment
  • Proven passion for the data quality and data management discipline
  • Good business and data analysis skills
  • Strong Data profiling and data discovery skills
  • Strong experience with data profiling and quality toolsets, for example, SAS DataFlux, IBM Information Analyser and Quality Stage, Trillium
  • Strong Root cause analysis skills
  • Data Standardisation and cleansing
  • SAS programming skills
  • Strong experience of designing and developing interactive DQ Dashboards and reports
  • Good Excel, VBA, or SQL skills
  • Relational database understanding
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data structure, data system or tools and related software and data management policies and practices in a complex organizational environment
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent Problem solving and attention to details skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Services business processes and resultant information needs, client, risk, regulatory, finance
  • Proven ability to meet established deadlines
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
