Job Description

To direct and control the operations of the Payment Team and ensure that the established service standards are met. To provide support all the products and services assigned to the team. To manage the relationships between the Payment Team and the RM's, SCB departments and customers.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

- To review and approve outward/ inward transactions according to delegated authority
- To maintain delivery standards - in terms of accuracy / error rates, timeliness and throughput - as established by SLA
- Enforce proper control to ensure both outward and inward payments operations are in compliance with the established audit and security procedures
- Contribute to increased efficiency by identifying opportunities of improvement of workflows and operating guidelines
- Improve staff quality by developing, in conjunction with the team leader, staff training, job rotation and job enrichment program
- To monitor performance of processing hubs by maintaining processing accuracy and timeliness; and to provide guidelines and advice on communication and referral framework

Qualifications and Skills

*Strong managerial skills and leadership quality with an ability to supervise a team.

*Strong analytical and organisational skills.

*In-depth knowledge of local and international payment methods and settlement arrangements. A thorough understanding of SWIFT and SHIFT.

*Sound knowledge of foreign exchange, Agency Arrangement and relevant banking regulations. Knowledge of the business practice and standards of the Overseas Group offices and correspondents.

*Thorough understanding of the functionality of the payment systems.

*Good interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a good professional relationship with external and internal contacts.
