Description

Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Keep track of the day-to-day developments within the portfolio companies through an active dialogue with the investment managers and accord oversight and assistance in managing the assets.
  • Assist in the implementation of asset management policies and procedures encompassing periodic reviews, collateral and covenant monitoring as well as approval guidelines and escalate exceptions as needed.
  • Devise and publish risk reports that reflect the adherence of the portfolio to internal and external guidelines as well as market risk emanating from the positioning of the books in various currencies and hedges booked to manage currency or interest rate risk as required.
  • Maintain an oversight on the valuation methodologies adopted for various assets, assist the operations team in evaluating and revising the methodologies as the assets develop and evolve during the life cycle of investment, draft/finalize valuation commentaries and reports in conjunction with the investment managers and work with the external valuers, valuation committees and auditors to finalize the quarterly valuations.
  • Assist the management in responding to various queries on the asset management of the portfolio received from investors, regulators or auditors.

Profile

  • 12-15 years of experience of multi-industry and multi-functional experience gained from leading banks, financial institutions or funds
  • Sound credit skills and exposure to distressed assets and workout situations
  • Exposure to credit and market risk with a penchant for details
  • Excellent proficiency in English and the ability to read and write in Mandarin
