Client is a global blue chip investment firm with a well-established Asia presence and a good track record. As part of its growth plans for 2021, they are looking to add an analyst/ associate on their Asia investments team, based in Hong Kong, with a focus on Asia Pacific investments.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Deal Execution:

• Conduct industry research to understand the attractiveness and outlook of an industry, through both primary (e.g. expert interviews) and secondary sources (e.g. research reviews)
• Develop financial models to assess investment opportunities
• Support the coordination of due diligence process and analysis of the findings
• Provide analytical support and inputs during transaction structuring and negotiations
• Prepare investment approval papers, presentations, and other materials as required

Portfolio Monitoring:

• Analyze and report the monthly performance of the firm’s portfolio companies
• Support the implementation of strategic and operational initiatives in our portfolio monitoring process

Qualifications & experience:

The ideal candidate would demonstrate the following:

Experience: 1-3 years of combined experience in Private Equity (preferred), Investment Banking or Management Consulting

Academic qualification: Excellent academic background from a top-tier academic institution

Technical skills: Financial modelling skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Language skills: The ability to speak an additional Asian language will have an added advantage
