We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Risk And Compliance Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

  • ​Working within the Digital Content Team to provide first line defence compliance support, advice or guidance and training to assist the Content Authors in the creation and approval of compelling financial promotions and other customer facing communications issued in Hong Kong and other Asia Pacific markets to appropriate standards, in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements, Tone of Voice guidelines, Group Standards Manual, Marketing and Risk FIMs.
  • Provide a flexible, tailored first line support compliance consultancy service to support the various digital content teams
  • Assist the team to ensure all content produced is clear, fair and not misleading, and prepared in accordance with all applicable legal and regulatory obligations and internal bank procedures.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving Digital content material in a timely manner taking ultimate responsibility for all approvals
  • Proactively assisting management in identifying and containing risk, monitoring, reporting and certification, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
  • Responsible for escalation and consulting with senior management, Legal or Compliance advisory teams where applicable.


Qualifications
Requirements
  • ​Experience in the approval of financial promotions, or other relevant compliance within a financial organisation.
  • Have a good understanding of the range of banking and financial services products currently available such as investments, mortgages, insurance, general credit, deposits and savings, and corporate finance
  • A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these.
  • Be fully conversant with all regulations, laws and codes of conduct relating to financial promotions such as marketing or advertising
  • Proven experience of working effectively and closely with a marketing and business function. It would be an environment where appropriate balance is required between compliance, creativity and commercial judgement.
  • Good communication, influencing and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to project manage change and updates to processes and procedures.
  • An abundance of common sense, drive and flexibility to deliver and prioritise in a high change environment.
  • Practical, pragmatic, self-starter mentality, comfortable in a fast moving, highly innovating environment.
  • Attention to detail is important as is ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to follow processes designed to ensure compliance with complex regulations.
