Our client is an international asset management company with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit a high caliber professional to join them in Hong Kong.
Play a lead role in driving this growth by providing critical sales and distribution support in the development and coordination of focus lists, sales strategy and sales collateral development, among other activities, in collaboration with various other stakeholders across the organization and region. Analyze fund/platform line-up and industry trends, and work collaboratively with other teams to develop a focus-funds list to aid in the prioritization and alignment of resources at the Asia regional and country level. Compile independent industry research independent (macro / sector / asset classes / fund research reports and database) and leverage market and asset class content from other teams to develop content on market impact events and trends and write thought leadership/topical pieces. Serve as a sales liaison in the regional by leveraging and building on themes/content provided and develop/tailor sales stories and fund sales narratives to meet the varied needs at the region/country level, while ensuring quality control and consistency of message delivery at the regional and local level. Work with business partners at the regional and country level to develop competitive analysis for focus funds, among others, to aid in the competitive positioning. This includes developing and maintaining qualitative and quantitative analysis in supportive of offensive and defensive sales strategies. Aid in the development and orchestration of sales campaigns and project planning for all new fund launches and existing fund initiatives. Maintain collaborative relationships with internal/external sales teams to ensure support needs are met and focus lists are current and sales initiatives/projects are appropriate and on schedule.
To be qualified, you should be a Degree holder with a minimum of 15 years of experience of which at least 10 year management experience in financial reporting, editing of macroeconomics, investment, and fund research, as well as team management responsibility with a proven track record in supporting multi-channel fund distribution business. Sound knowledge in macroeconomics, equities, fixed income, multi-asset and solution products, with an understanding of mutual fund market trends and movements, as well as ideally a proven ability to identify product trends and to advise in the design of products to meet investor needs. Understanding of strategy and business development processes, practices and applications, together with sound knowledge of the operational and regulatory frameworks for intermediary investment markets. Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
