Company Description

Our client, a well-regarded international asset management company with strong presence in this region, is seeking a SVP / VP, Corporate Strategy, based in HK regional office.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with APAC CEO to formulate corporate strategy and drive implementation of key strategic initiatives. Provide support on day-to-day management of the Asia operations to drive sustainable business growth
  • Support business / functional heads to drive and implement strategic projects in the region and ensure governance in place
  • Monitor market development, potential regulatory changes/ issues and competitor intelligence, partnership & alliance opportunities to facilitate decision making for strategic initiatives (such as M&A opportunities, product & distribution development directions and action plans)
  • Provide support to local countries on behalf of CEO Office and oversee the implementation of new business strategies, including developing and managing the overall project plan and managing different stakeholders. Coordinate during project implementation, and maintain documentations, including minutes and presentation materials
  • Prepare presentations for Asia and global management team’s review

Requirements

  • University graduate preferably in accounting, economics and finance. MBA qualification is well regarded
  • At least seven years of working experience from top tier financial institutions / management consulting firms with professional accomplishment related to strategy, valuation and / or corporate finance. Previous asset management industry experience is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to work independently in a complex organization
  • Good team player. Strong interpersonal skill and be able to develop and maintain excellent professional relationships, as well as to promote collaborative team environment
  • Strong project management and execution skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and be able to deliver messages effectively in both written and verbal format
  • Excellent command of English. Other Asian language skills would be a plus
  • Traveling is required
