The STOXX Index Operations is currently organized in 3 units Index Surveillance and Monitoring, Index Review, Corporate Actions) across 4 locations (Frankfurt, Zug, Prague and Hong-Kong) and is responsible for any day to day activities related to the maintenance of indices under STOXX mandates. STOXX Index Operations activities covers indices such as EURO STOXX 50, STOXX Europe 50, STOXX Europe 600, as well as DAX indices, the Bulgarian Exchange Indices, and Customized Indices. The STOXX Index Operations teams are also involved in any Strategic Projects where expertise on Index implementation maintenance, regulations and customer interface are required.


  • Handle the research and implementation of corporate actions for equities (e.g. increases and decreases of capital stocks, IPOs, M&A activities, dividend payments, stock splits, spin-offs, etc.)
  • Manage data: sourcing, cleansing, and organizing of corporate events, reference and ownership data
  • Communication to customers and third-party providers regarding corporate actions
  • Research different listed asset classes (equities, fixed income) and overall markets; run general research on several index specific topics
  • Develop new tools, specify requirements for technical development and test new applications/tools from end to end
  • Document processes and workflows in the Asia Corporate Actions team
  • Expected to continuously identify and develop improvements to the quality and stability
  • Ensures data quality (accuracy, completeness, coverage, timeliness) in the daily work according to predefined standards
  • Provides effective and timely 2nd level incident support and resolution for data matters and fixes daily quality issues, including clarifications with existing sources
  • Handle direct client requests

  • Carry out end to end tests according to manager’s guidance


  • At least 1 to 2 years of professional experience in financial environment (preferable Index Business, Portfolio Business, Asset managers, Product Development or Structuring) and have the understandings of Financial Markets environment, its working constraints and philosophy,
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and know-how in financial information and financial markets, including understandings of corporate actions impacts on an Index
  • Experience and track record in corporate actions research, index operations, securities and listed companies’ operations (Middle and back office), data analysis / cleansing, data processing rules and techniques is a plus
  • Be able to work under pressure and to handle multiple tasks time-efficient and autonomously in parallels and work on tight deadlines
  • Be able to work and learn autonomously without minimum of supervision and training (self-starter/self-learner

Finally, you need to be a team-player with customer orientated attitude, have the ability to act as proactively, independently with hands-on mentality with the following soft skill

  • Fluent in English both oral and written
  • Fluent in one of these Asian languages is mandatory: Chinese, Japanese and or Korean
  • Knowledge in a second Asian language would be a strong advantage
  • Have in-depth knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS VBA for Excel and MS Access, databases and SQL
  • Good knowledge of reference and market data applications such as Reuters, Bloomberg, IDC …
  • Ability to work independently with tight deadlines, quickly identify and report issues and problem
  • Team player across functional domains and at all levels
