We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Communications Manager, Commercial Banking.

Principal responsibilities

  • Using insight from internal and external measurement, the role holder acts as a local representative of the Global
  • Communications function, providing integrated communications advice and execution for their respective geography with a focus on Commercial Banking in support of HSBC's strategy, purpose and values.
  • Responsibilities encompass the full spectrum of communications activities managed by the global Communications function, including: building and proecting HSBC's reputation: using insight to drive discussions and communications planning and creating engaging content.
  • The role holder reports to the Head of Communications, Commercial Banking, Asia Pacific, working in close partnership with the regional communications team to execute global and regional plans in country.
  • Build world class relations with priority media targets and utilise media relationships to deliver coverage for relevant Global campaigns and positioning for the global businesses that reinforces HSBC's leadership on priority global themes.
  • Ensure consistent messaging reflecting HSBC's personality and purpose across print, broadcast, online and social media.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-border and cross business media activity in support of key trade/business corridors or collaboration efforts.
  • Manage and mitigate arising issues, by building strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure early warning and sharing of information.
  • Strict adherence to the global Media Relations Governance Policy.


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Broad, expert knowledge of communications trends and international best practice.
  • Communications experience in Banking experience is prefferred
  • Strong communications experience and understanding of the financial sector, media enviroment and culture.
  • Proven ability to operate within a global matrix and prioritise competing demands.
  • Proven ability to align align to a global strategy, whilst maintaining an awareness of local sensitivities and nuace.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills and ability to produce clear, engaging narrative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and personal presence and credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic planning and project mangement skills.
  • Displays role model and behaviours aligned to the Group values.
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and pressurised situations.
  • Proven crisis management skills.
