We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Distribution Development Manager .

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the retail distribution strategies and lead the development of the Commercial Banking distribution model to achieve high growth and profitability for HSBC insurance.
  • Drive Commercial Banking distribution channel portfolio Commercial Banking to achieve stretching revenue targets as pre-set goal from HSBC insurance including providing distribution support and advanced sales support to ISM in Commercial Banking channel.
  • Management of business mix including tracking of sales, market trends and conducting retention propensity analysis for the retail and Commercial Banking business
  • Design, support and drive channel specific recognition events and campaigns in line with HSBC incentive framework and Compliance guidelines non financial recognition
  • To lead or participate in any Commerical Banking specific projects and initiatives for effective and efficient resolution
  • Design, create and analyze distribution management information reports and analytics for the Commercial Banking channel and manage the interpretation and implementation of the information with Commercial Banking and internal stakeholder

  • Degree required with preference for advanced degree completion
  • Recognized insurance professional preferably holding relevant insurance professional qualification, must have active license to sell insurance
  • Solid years of experience in Insurance or Banking focused on product, business development, marketing or sales.
  • Specialist product knowledge in Universal Life and other Life product with demonstrated experience of Life Insurance
  • Demonstrated experience in Senior Management positions of insurance business.
  • Results orientated with emphasis on the customer and quality. Able to apply excellent commercial judgment and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Able to create a positive working relationship with senior executives internally and externally.
  • Significant level of risk, sales quality and compliance awareness.
  • Possess the technical and operational expertise and experience to deliver the full and complete customer and business partner quality experience individually and collectively
  • Be a self motivated, pro-active, self starter with the ability to act and perform with minimal direction or instruction
  • Customer driven with demonstrated commitment to improving customer experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high written and oral proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
