The Senior Manager will be responsible for building the strategy for the Life and P&C businesses by involving stakeholders, collecting information and assembling, managing and monitoring the portfolio of strategic projects ensuring alignment between the company strategy and the rolling strategy/business plan. The incumbent will be proactively involved in the preparation of quarterly business review reports, will track changes to the strategic plan, tactical moves and their impact on the overall strategic direction and provide insight into variances and propose solutions. The jobholder will build and provide comprehensive market and competitor studies to compare the company strategy with external factors closely monitoring the impact from regulatory changes on the company and whole market including IFRS17 and RBC for strategic direction. The Senior Manager will combine market studies and competitor analysis with customer strategy, distribution strategy, product strategy, investment strategy, IT strategy, operations strategy and people strategy to build a comprehensive strategy document and provide strategic direction and actively participate in the business case for new distribution and strategic tie ups.
The successful candidate will be a degree holder (those with MBA or Master degree are preferred) and have at least 5 years’ experience working in the insurance industry or a consulting firm. Candidates will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills including Chinese language skills and fluency in English.
