Global Trade and Receivables Finance comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Manager GTRF Services .

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead a specific Trade product vertical in forums and committees to represent Services view, its underlying process, controls and consequent inputs to information technology for defining new systems
  • Support the creation of implementing and monitoring of Services activities influenced by Trade Transformation
  • Providing solutions to our employees to improve both the effectiveness and efficiency of Services through increased automation of processes, procedures and risk controls.
  • Making material improvements in how Services leverages its technological capabilities to manage risk and meet its policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Ownership of Services staff channel strategy and work flow, including direct business responsibility for the management, its development and deployment.
  • Process design, quality improvement and data management, including working with internal and external customers to meet long-term business requirements.
  • Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements ensuring consistency in system development landscape.

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of the business and customer requirements
  • Strong understanding of technology
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Proven ability in functional project management, working across multi disciplinary and multi cultural environments
  • Strong analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigor, including being able to contextualise data into business activities and conclusions
  • Proven ability in successfully designing and implementing projects and driving initiatives
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
  • Well developed people skills, with experience in coordinating and managing a wide range of projects
  • Ability to both lead and work in a team of other managers and staff, employing appropriate management and team working styles
  • High level of drive and motivation to ensure successful delivery of complex transformational initiatives and
  • Execution orientated with an ability to leverage resources available to achieve goals.
