Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Manager, Group Distribution.

Principal responsibilities

  • Work closely and provide reliable sales, marketing and business development support for HSBC Group Distribution channels including Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, HSBC Insurance, etc.
  • Originate fund briefings, market analysis, fund positioning, sales pitches and complete administration or any after sales follow up as required
  • Contribute and enhance the performance of the HSBC Group Distribution channels
  • Share key information to enable Asset Management Global to enhance its corporate knowledge and improve competitiveness across product, service and marketing
  • Increase client satisfaction with effective implementation, open dialogue and can do attitude
  • Collaborate with colleagues fostering professionalism and a strong positive relationship. Support others as required
  • Share market insights and best practices with the Wholesale Business to support our business model
  • Ensure investment, market and fund knowledge is current and appropriate for the role
  • Comply with all Group policies
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of retail sales processes
  • Understand operational processes and procedures, and their implications. Escalating concerns as soon as practical to minimize disruption


Qualifications
Requirements
  • University Bachelor
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Ability to harness previous experience and market knowledge to reinvigorate activity and achieve best of class approach
  • Apply business acumen in planning and execution, seeking guidance as required.
  • Utilize experience and market knowledge
  • Ability to contribute positively to the Wholesale Team, for the benefit and success of all
  • Support Asset Management Global cross departmental collaboration to deliver a market competitive offer
  • Initiative and being a self starter with a pragmatic, can do approach
  • Confident public speaker in Cantonese and English. Able to write competently in English and Chinese. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
  • Confidence and enjoyment gained from interacting with distributors and building momentum
  • Teamwork and professionalism, setting an example in behavior and business execution
