The incumbent is responsible for developing and executing a corporate communications strategy designed to enhance the company’s brand with major external stakeholders and drive engagement with employees. This highly impactful role reports to Chief Financial Officer.


  • Develop and deliver external communications plan that is aligned with Value Partners Group’s corporate strategy, working closely with senior team and major functions to ensure the planning and execution of communications are timely, accurate and effective;
  • Develop and manage content for external stakeholders on key company and pipeline milestones and other announcements, including press releases, Q&As and corporate presentations;
  • Partner with communications firm to interface with media;
  • Partner with Investor Relations to ensure major investor materials are coordinated and supported in an efficient and effective manner;
  • Team up with Investor Relations, Sales and various teams on development of content for website and social media;
  • Develop and execute internal communications plans that support the business strategy, including implementing new and/or more formal channels, programs and utilizing best practices;
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, HR and other champions to reinforce company culture and brand throughout the organization.  To ensure corporate strategy and organizational changes are well communicated internally;
  • Work closely with IT on the utilization and continuous improvement of technologies such as the Intranet, employee webcasts, video and other digital channels.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English or Business
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in corporate communications in Financial industry, preferably from Asset Management or media in South East Asia
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and demonstrated leadership in executing large projects in a fast moving culture
  • High degree of professional versatility and capability with an ability to meet challenges consistently and confidently
  • Track record of building relationships with external stakeholders, media, consultants
  • Proven ability to demonstrate executive presence and partner across various functional areas
  • An effective communicator and assertive professional, able to work with senior management and provide clear, insightful counsel with tact and diplomacy for the benefit of the organization as and when necessary
  • An innovative thinker with the flexibility to identify effective methods of packaging complex, market sensitive messages for different audiences
  • Ability to “think globally,” work in an international team and communicate and coordinate communications projects across jurisdictions
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with both Internet and Intranet environments
