With an Asia Pacific Regional Management Office based in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), HSBC Insurance's business operations in the region are present in Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Mainland China, India, Vietnam and Korea. We are seeking enthusiastic applicant for the following position in Hong Kong: Reporting to the Deputy Chief Actuary, the incumbent is expected to control and support regional actuarial function by working with the local chief actuary of the assigned regions on product, valuation basis review and approval, investment policy and approval, asset-liability management policy and reinsurance strategy. � To ensure compliance with local and Group requirement on all actuarial functions � Responsible for business case preparation for market entry and license application � To oversee M&A and due diligence activities by working with the regional development team on appraisal value of target, � To identify major risks of target and plan and manage the due diligence exercise � To lead and manage the development of special projects with consideration of the benefit and resources implication, the application to regional operations and setting best practice and control procedures for rolling out to other regions

Qualifications
� Degree holder in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Finance � FSA or equivalent and with at least 7 years of relevant experience in the actuarial functions and 3 years in a supervisory capacity � Possess strong commercial thinking and business acumen � Courageous leadership - able to lead, inspire and develop the team � Able to make commercially sound recommendation while maintaining professional integrity � Must be self-motivated and resourceful � Excellent verbal and written communication skills
