Senior Systems Manager - IT (Cloud & Platform)
Job Responsibilities: - Lead the Database team to deliver database administration and support services in Linux, Windows, IBM z/OS and Cloud platform;
- Maintain and develop a team of highly capable and technically problem solvers who can work independently and collaboratively to support and maintain the organization technology core; Implement and support infrastructure solutions in sophisticated, high-performance trading environments that demand stability, high throughput and low latency;
- Provide support and implementation work to application teams including database setup and SQL performance analysis;
- Provide advice for operating policies, technical architecture and configuration of database system;
- Administer and manage Oracle and DB2 Databases including monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, patching and upgrade, performance tuning, backup and recovery, stress test, capacity planning;
- Compliance with organizations policies and standards. Establish and maintain technical standards and best practices, and proactively assesses exposure areas and takes steps to reduce vulnerabilities;
- Maintain high system availability and ensure all database systems work properly;
- Review SQL, stored procedures and application interfaces with databases;
- Manage vendor to ensure the highest quality delivery and implementation
Job Requirements: - With at least 10 years of working experience in managing and supporting database (Oracle and DB2);
- At least 3-year at managerial level with leadership responsibilities including strategy, budgeting and staffing;
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle and DB2 database administration;
- Strong in Oracle and DB2 SQL and stored procedures;
- Solid experience with SQL, PL/SQL and shell script/programming would be an advantage;
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards;
- Strong hands-on experience in developing script solutions for process improvement and automation;
- Experience in IBM MQ, Easytrieve, MSSQL, Monogo DB, AWS RDS is an advantage;
- Experience in database clustering technology e.g. RAC, Purescale, VCS;
- Experience in Disaster Recovery synchronization technology e.g. DataGuard, HADR, SAN replication;
- Experience in data replication tools e.g. IBM InfoSphere Change Data Capture;
- Experience in system programming and administration on Linux, z/OS, or Windows Platform;
- Project management experience in sizable scale technology infrastructure implementation;
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance;
- Proactive, strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and analytical skills;
- Degree holder in Computer science, Computer engineering, information technology or relevant discipline
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Systems Manager.
