Social Media Manager - Global Functions

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Social Media Manager.


Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Experience in using analytics and Online Response Management (ORM) tools

  • Strong understanding of key social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, WeChat, Instagram)

  • Able to provide actionable insights to track, evaluate and optimize digtial content performance across platforms

  • Manage online communities and ensuring positive customer expereince

  • Keep up-to-date with developments in the overall digital landscape and on audience engagement trends and insights

  • Support in the management of social media content creation to maintain editorial and technical production standards

  • Work collaboratively with other business teams to support

  • Take personal ownership of the social network from identification of platforms through appropriate channels

  • Develop constructive working relationships with subject matter experts across businesses

  • Promote sharing of knowledge and best practices across the Group

  • Personally demonstrate strong adherence to HSBC’s values

  • An entrepreneurial drive, with the ability to deconstruct and solve problems; bias for action and collaboration, keen attention to detail

  • Proven project management skills

  • Proven experience of social media community management and two-way communication with audiences

  • Proven experience in social media paid planning and activation; across channels

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications or relevant field is an added advantage

  • Proven experience of 5+ years, preferably with hands-on experience in social media marketing or community/response management

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese (traditional / simplified based)
