Supervisor- Middle Office Services

The Supervisor will join a global team that is responsible for the oversight of certain middle office operations and reporting functions in Hong Kong in order to provide services to our local and global clients. Clients include investment managers of private equity, hedge funds and institutional investors. He/She will be involved in client on-boarding, designation of operation model for new mandates, performing and reviewing data aggregation, data management and accounting processes and compiling portfolio analytics (including risk and performance reports) and coordination of projects to improve operation efficiency for the Group.


The Supervisor will ensure that data (e.g., transactions, prices, corporate actions, security master reference data, performance metrics and risk metrics) are maintained in relevant systems in a timely and accurate manner; design and implement  automated processes for data processes and reporting; globally manage the use of systems with goal of optimal efficiency, providing training to global data management and middle office staff as necessary; assist in client on-boarding process for new clients; oversee daily operations and client delivery; gather client requirement and reporting; demonstrating keen awareness of industry and technology; assisting VPs or SVPs to provide regional sales support, execution and roll-out of project plans for the continued improvement of operational efficiency and control; and work with IT  team, systems vendors and other third parties to resolve issues and developing bespoke client solutions and participate in defining project specifications and roll-out of reengineered processes.


The ideal candidate will have a sound working experience in fund accounting and/or middle office operations with keen knowledge of technology ( Ideally including systems such as Bloomberg and Advent’s Geneva), data management and portfolio analytics. He/She should demonstrate a keen awareness of industry and technology trends, in order to play a role in the continual evolution of this function.

Candidates should have an Undergraduate Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance with at least 4-5 years of relevant working experience.

The successful applicant will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong computer skills. The candidate must have the ability to use initiative and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. This post requires attention to detail, professionalism and the ability to multi task. Excellent communication, organizational and administrative skills are essential.

The level of experience and qualifications will determine whether the candidates will be considered for a Senior Administrator or Assistant Vice President.
