System Analyst (AS400)

The Position

• Participate in projects throughout their life cycle, including feasibility studies, managing user expectations, and managing change.
• Assist the direct supervisor in completing medium to large-scale system modifications/enhancements on schedule and within budget.
• Responsible for completing projects on schedule and on budget, assessing and identifying possible risks, and recommending risk reduction where necessary.
• Propose a strategy and plan for system development. New IT goods and services are evaluated and recommended.
• Monitor the performance and ensure quality support of all existing IT production systems
• Assist the direct supervisor in establishing a design standard and working on the development of the system.
• Assist the direct supervisor in developing best practices and ensuring that system development standards are met.
• Vendor management and quality control for system integration suppliers

The Individual

• Minimum of 2-6 years working experience in information technology with a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Extensive expertise developing enterprise-scale applications
• A thorough understanding of Life Asia, AS/400, middleware connections like as MQ, and client-server technologies that integrate with the Front-End System is required.
• Opentext Exstream (Streamserve) and Opentext and IBM ECM knowledge are advantageous.
• Good understanding and expertise with enterprise-scale IT systems in the life insurance industry.
• Good understanding of life insurance products and processes
• Interpersonal, analytical, and presenting abilities are all essential.
