Role overview - Position Objective

The Role is being created with the purpose of driving the origination of TTS opportunities with Public Sector clients in APAC, designing content and positioning Citi as a thought leader in the digital space, a strategy that should be conducive to growth on this important client segment. Business development, thought leadership and best practices replication are key pillars of the role.
  • Device a Sales strategy of TTS Solutions to Public Sector clients in the Asian Pacific Region, aiming at that leverages among other on:
    • the Historical successes and areas of strength such as the cross border solutions and overall experience in Australia and New Zealand,
    • Evolving needs associated with the drive to Digital, and
    • Lead origination efforts in new areas where Citi could provide a strong value proposition and where the sales cycle would be as short as possible.
    • The Sales strategy should have a differentiated approach to cater for the needs and opportunities of the following 6 distinct segments:
      • Central Banks
      • Ministry Of Finance and its core/related dependencies (e.g. Ministries of Foreign Affairs)
      • Development Banks
      • Pension Funds
      • Sovereign Wealth Funds
      • Selected State Owned Enterprises
      • Actively lead client meetings, rich in content, and that leverage as much as possible on Data Analytics, benchmarking, best practices, in order to enhance client impact and accelerate origination.
      • Identification and commercialization of value-accretive solutions working with Product and Market Management teams. Important focus on Origination is expected.
      • Develop deep understanding of sector and specific segments, its operational environment, priorities and challenges. That level of insights should be conducive to the development of Public Sector content- General Themes, Future Landscape, Best Practices.
      • Ensure consistent delivery of all TTS sales management disciplines including: account planning, call reporting, lead generation, pipeline management, implementation acceleration and TTS relationship reviews.
      • Provide strategic, in-person and direct client engagement to support in-country Public Sector Banking, CCO and TTS partners (TTS Heads, Product, Sales) on largest identified target opportunities.
      • Represent TTS at internal ICG-wide and external Industry Forums / Events (Conferences, Publications)

      • Qualifications

        Experience required:
        • A highly motivated and experienced professional prepared to drive a focused sales effort around Public Sector. The Head of Public Sector sales needs to work in strong partnerships and also have a solid individual leadership to pursue the strategy, and ability to lead independently when required.
        • Deep knowledge of TTS Product Suite, including the broad spectrum of Cash Management, Liquidity Management and Trade Finance solutions.
        • Developed communication skills, strong executive presence is required considering the client segment.
        • Leadership by Influence - considering the Public Sector clients would normally be already covered by a series of in-country constituencies, including Public Sector Bankers, CCOs, among other.
        • Experience / Knowledge on our TTS Cross Border payments product suite, including recent developments around our FXLM JV (CBFT and Worldlink enabled solutions). We expect this will be a buying theme.
        • The individual should have a financial sales background preferably within transaction services, be customer focused and able to operate at various levels within a public sector institution organization.
