Team Lead - Credit Operations / Documentation Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Corporate/Personal Banking Documentation team to prepare and review facility letter, loan/security documentation and instruction letter to solicitors for personal loan applications
  • Liaise and negotiate with relationship managers, external lawyers and the borrowers for  issuance of all requisite documents for various types of personal loans
  • Review the due execution of all requisite documents and ensure compliance of pre-drawdown condition precedents prior to drawing and follow-up the conditions subsequent
  • Perform title deeds control and checking
  • Monitor the outstanding title deed from solicitors
  • Identify documentation deficiencies, prepare MIS reports and approval of legal firm engagement
  • Support Department Head to review operation process and update procedure manual
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned
     

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration / Finance or related disciplines
  • 10 years’ experience in corporate/retail banking credit operations / loan documentation, in which at least 4 years in supervisory role and in the role of reviewing and drafting documentation on  personal loans
  • Knowledge in handling  residential / commercial property mortgage products would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge on banking laws, Companies Ordinance, legal and regulatory requirements
  • In-depth knowledge and concept on  retail banking products
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua
