Candidates will work closely with trader and IT staff across their UK and US offices to provide a high level of support to those desks using either 3rd party or in-house trading software. Candidates will be coordinating with trading platform vendors, exchanges, clearing firms and market data vendors to provide quick resolutions to problems. They will also be required to set up new trading sessions, servers, session IDs, PCs and Monitors, etc.
The person will be working in the Hong Kong office, providing local support. In addition, they will provide support for the London office and hand over any issues to the US staff after the Hong Kong day closes.
Candidates should have 3+ years support a trading desk operation, with prior experience supporting 3rd party software vendors for electronic trading, such as Orc and Fidessa. Knowledge of C#, Python, or Java will also be preferred, along with a strong understanding of Excel and VBA. Multicast knowedge and the ability to troubleshoot FIX protocol issues are required, as is some level of networking knowledge and strong English capabilities.
