Our client is an International Health Insurance Provider with a dominating presence globally and they are now growing their team.
Responsibilities: 
  • Perform underwriting performance analysis of all product lines
  • Work closely with regional team head and proactively support the development, implementation and maintenance of underwriting processes
  • Build and maintain relationships with local insurers, manage negotiation of fronting agreements and make sure underwriting targets are met
  • Maintain underwriting database including information on underwriting decisions, portfolio rate actions and turnaround response times
  • Provide training for operations, insurers, business development teams to ensure their awareness and understanding of underwriting standards
  • Provide support to the Actuarial team for development of group quote engines and data analysis
  • Monitor underwriting performance of company portfolio and prepare management reports regularly 
  • Keep up to date of  written guidelines and manuals, amend details of any changes or developments across the business so as to ensure adherence to underwriting standards
  • Ensure any regulatory requirements relevant to the individuals role are met, include certain qualifications and CPD

Requirements:
  • Degree Holder in Mathematics or Statistics or related disciplines with qualifications in ACI or IIQE
  • At least 8 years of working experience in Life & Health insurance sector with strong technical underwriting experience, regional exposure and actuarial experience would be a plus
  • Excellent track record of contribution towards successful product development, experience in creating product and financial data to generate quotations
  • Great people management skills, independent, analytical, communicative, experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Proficient in MS Officer including Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Access
  • Good command in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
