VP, Service Management (Japanese language required)

Our client is a US based Investment Bank looking to expand their Global Service Management team with 2 additional headcounts sitting in Hong Kong. One would require Japanese language skills as a major part of his/her role is to liaise with local regulators in Japan.

The Enterprise Service Management Team is a global team responsible for proactive governance, control and continuous improvement of the Production Services Operating model, underlying IT operational processes and supporting tools to ensure optimal and effective service delivery, production stability and regulatory compliance.

Candidates with solid experience in service management across technology (should have understanding in production services, infrastructure, change management) and an execution driven mindset would be an ideal caliber.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, manage and Drive Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings with Change Owners to discuss details, impact and status of the change
  • Working with local regulators in Japan to conduct updates and changes on regulatory across the technology group
  • Travelling to Japan (10-20% of the job)
  • Review change requests against key policy and process, ensuring change request meet minimum standards
  • Participate in the administration of the change management process
  • Periodically review a sample of implemented changes to assess the effectiveness of the process and recommend process improvements

Requirements:

  • ITIL certification
  • Experience of managing Change processes, specifically Change Advisory Boards
  • Knowledge across all Technology Functions (particularly production services and infrastruture)
  • Strong control and governance mindset
  • Service transition or relevant IT experience
  • Strong understanding of ITSM and ITIL Framework
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience developing relationships and collaborating with IT, business, and vendor stakeholders
  • Proactively identifies knowledge and process gaps and develops improvement
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
