Role & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior FICC COOs, desk/business heads in developing overall business strategy for APAC FICC LOBs including new product/infrastructure project management, business /cost efficiency analysis and control and governance process reviews. Assist in creating presentations on business strategy, performance, planning initiatives and other materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Knowledge of FICC products, Emerging Markets, competitive and regulatory landscape to meaningfully contribute to identifying opportunities, gaps and emerging risks
  • Work closely with global and regional business and enterprise control partners and contribute to global FICC COO projects
  • Ensure sound corporate governance, supervision, control and risk management practices/routines are in place
  • Assist FICC COOs and FICC Trading teams in coordination of day-to-day operations of the business - AML/KYC, System Access Reviews, BCP, Remote Booking attestation, Brokerage review, Reg rule compliance/exception management etc.
  • Establish and support management routines that effectively support business needs including controlling agendas and facilitating management meetings.

Essential skills required:
  • Strong product knowledge, technical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience in a COO or business management role preferred
  • Ability to work with details while not sacrificing the overall business big picture
  • Ability to identify and implement best-practices operations
  • Strategic with good business acumen
  • Culturally sensitive with the ability to work effectively among different countries and regions
  • Ability to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions
  • Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
  • Passion in striving for business excellence
  • Highly motivated with excellent time management & prioritization skills
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  • Presents well to senior and global business heads
  • Ability to partner closely with other BMs, COOs and support functions
  • Expert in Microsoft suite of products
