Vice President, Electronic Sales Trader, Cash Equities – APAC

Primary Objectives:

  • Responsible for the electronic coverage of Societe Generale (SG) Global Execution Clients in Asia Pacific Markets
  • Advise clients on trading strategies, transaction opportunities (IOI, Crosses, Minimizing impact) and SG product offering.
  • Contribute to sales effort for the Execution business in Asia Pacific, focussing on SG's electronic services offering.
  • Develop business relationships with assigned and new institutional and hedge fund accounts.
  • Develop knowledge of client needs and requirements and co-ordinate coverage effort in order to improve client experience and takeup of SG electronic solutions.
  • Work closely with Business, IT and Support Functions in order to improve the SG electronic offering .
  • Implement client trading strategies by dealing directly or via SG tools in the regional markets of Asia Pacific.


Mission

Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities:




  • Responsible for the electronic coverage of SG institutional clients.
  • Primary product being Equities, but knowledge of Listed Derivatives also key.
  • Responsible for Execution Consulting (Advice on trading & execution).
  • Co-ordinate the pre and post sales service to customers, as well as the trading function.
  • Contribution to the Sales and Product Development effort.
  • Knowledge of operational workflows (trading, settlement, technology).


Profile

Key Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications Required:




  • Excellent knowledge of Asian Equity markets, including trading, operations and regulations.
  • Solid experience in High Touch Client service (Sales Trading, Sales, Advisor).
  • Strong track record and understanding of client relationships within the Asia Equities community, in particular Institutional Asset Managers and hedge Funds.
  • Good understanding of equities trading, algorithmic trading, micro structure and associated trading parameters.
  • Good understanding of the types of product/strategies most likely to suit investors in the Asia market.
  • Knowledge of global equity markets and listed derivatives markets.
  • Tertiary education with relevant industry qualifications including appropriate licenses to trade in Regional Equity Markets.
