We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Global Banking Financial Institutions Group.

Principal responsibilities

  • Be responsible for business development from new and existing Global Banking Financial Institutions Group clients, liaising closely with Relationship Managers to generate leads and respond to inward referrals domestically and from other regions.
  • Maintain and enhance existing revenue streams and develop new revenue streams by identifying and selling innovative Global Liquidity and Cash Management solutions to a defined portfolio of clients, maximizing commercial profitability and deepening client relationships. This will include contributing to the pricing, reviewing and negotiating the full range of cash management services together with effecting any cost reduction initiatives required by HSBC.
  • Be recognized as a Global Liquidity and Cash Management specialist with competent knowledge of relevant products and services, actively contributing to the Global Liquidity and Cash Management pipeline ensuring it is accurate and current.
  • Consistently role model the Sales Manager competencies, providing guidance to and coaching other sales managers and team members where necessary.
  • Achieve income for the Group by originating leads, building and maintaining relationships clients in order to identify and sell innovative cash and clearing management solutions to a sector of HSBC's Global Banking Financial Institutions Group clients
  • Be ultimately responsible for new sales revenue and the retention and growth of existing clients and income aligned to a portfolio within the Global Banking Financial Institutions Group. Manage a Banks & Securities client portfolio in order to maintain existing and generate new relationships for the business
  • Adopt a needs-based advisory approach to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate cash management solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Effectively coordinate and collaborate with the HSBC team across markets and functions to develop appropriate solutions, deliver sales proposals and Request for Proposal responses and client pitches through to implementation handover.
  • Collaborate and generate referrals for other HSBC Global Businesses e.g. Asset Management and Commercial Banking, as appropriate.

Requirements
  • ​Proven track record in Sales or Relationship Management coupled with relevant Cash Management Sales experience.
  • A good understanding of the market & market trends, competitive environment and regulatory environment.
  • Proven commercial awareness, including economic, political, market, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues.
  • Highly motivated and achievement driven with an ability to formulate and articulate sales strategies.
  • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services and in delivering creative and flexible customer solutions.
  • Ability to operate on a cross-regional and cross-functional basis.
  • Ability to cope with pressure in a fast-growing and fast-moving sales environment.
  • Well-developed communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills along with the flexibility to travel.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organization skills demonstrating an ability to multi-task and manage multiple high priority and high profile projects.
